1955 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 283 V8 Powerglide.

For sale my beautiful 55 Corvette, owned by my father for the last 48 years, restored first in 1970 and again in 1990. Stored inside a heated garage since the first restoration, the paint remains in excellent condition.

The second restoration was a frame off complete restoration which included taking all the old paint off and discovering that the original paint was silver. Some of that original paint was preserved on the car to prove the original color was Silver. Silver Gray was an exterior color originally offered in 1955 but that there are no known existing examples of a 1955 Corvette with a Silver Gray exterior.

The engine presently in the car is an incorrect 283 cid with a 2 speed powerglide transmission, BUT. I located and bought an original 1955 265 V8 block with the crank and rods. This will be included with the sale so the new owner could build the 265 and replace the 283 that is not original to the car.
